Samsung Galaxy J6

The Samsung Galaxy J6 is a stylish new smartphone with some high-quality features thrown in as well. Under the hood, a modestly powerful configuration is available that should be ample for day-to-day tasks and a little light gaming too.  A primary 13 MP camera and 8MP selfie-clicker are par for the course in this price range and get the job done with very few complaints. The 32GB storage of the smartphone is good enough for day-to-day use and can be further extended in a dedicated Micro SD card slot up to 256 GB which is twice the 128GB cap usually available below this price range. The 3000 mAh battery while being just a tad less for heavy use, should easily last a whole day of normal day-to-day activities. No adaptive fast-charging option is included unfortunately so a power bank might need to be kept handy for emergencies. Overall, the smartphone Samsung Galaxy J6 is a competent contender in this price segment.

Display and Camera

The Samsung Galaxy J6 comes with a 5.6-inch screen which exhibits a screen resolution of 720 x 1,480 pixels (HD+). The pixel density of the smartphone is 294 PPI. The display is Super AMOLED type which is generally brighter and more vibrant with reduced battery consumption than older IPS displays.
Samsung smartphones have won pride of place for their cameras, and the J6 clickers get the job done well too, but with a few minor complaints (see expert review). The 13MP primary camera can capture a maximum image resolution of 4128 x 3096 pixels and Full HD video (1920 x 1080) at a frame rate of 30fps which is good enough for most of us. For selfie lovers, an 8MP front snapper is present with an LED flash to help in low-light conditions.

Configuration and Connectivity

The Samsung Galaxy J6 has an Exynos 7870 Octa octa-core processor with eight Cortex A53 cores that can spin up to 1.6GHz. The processor is aided 4GB of RAM and a Mali-T830 GPU. Though it is not the latest or greatest in this price segment, it is a competent configuration; enough for day-to-day use and some light-to-average multitasking.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers a wide range of options including 4G VoLTE connection, Wi-fi, mobile hot-spot, GPS, Bluetooth, and 2.0 micro USB.

Storage and Battery

The smartphone comes with a 32GB of inbuilt storage and by using a memory card, you can expand it. Cards up to 256GB are supported. A 3000mAh Li-ion battery powers the show, which should be ample for most users and should last an entire day.
